Academic Calendar Definitions and Policy
Academic Structure
The University of Arts and Design operates on a semester system consisting of three 15 week academic terms each year. All courses are delivered in a 15 week format to ensure academic rigor, consistency, and alignment with institutional learning outcomes.
Each semester provides structured pacing, regular faculty engagement, and defined academic milestones that support student success and program completion.
Academic Terms
The University offers three semesters annually:
Spring Semester
Classes begin in January
Summer Semester
Classes begin in May
Fall Semester
Classes begin in September
Program Entry
Students primarily begin their program of study in the Fall semester. In limited cases, students may begin in Spring or Summer based on program availability and advisor approval.
Course Load
During each 15 week semester, students enroll in one or more courses according to their program plan. The semester model allows students to engage deeply with course material while maintaining a sustainable academic pace.
Enrollment Policy
All courses are offered in the standard 15 week format. The University does not offer accelerated or alternative term structures. This standardized calendar ensures consistency in academic delivery, student support, and institutional reporting.
