The application process includes two pages and takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete.

If this is your first time applying, a $75 one-time registration fee is required. This fee applies to audited and single courses as well.

If you are already enrolled, you do not need to pay the registration fee again.

Transcripts do not need to added at this time. Once you are enrolled, we will work with you to get transcripts.

Audit or Take A Single Course

Audited Courses:

Auditing a course provides access to course materials for the semester; however, no academic credit is awarded. Students do not submit assignments, and faculty do not provide feedback on audited work. Audited courses cannot be converted to credit if a student later enrolls in a degree or certificate program. While prerequisites are recommended, they are not required for audited courses.

Single Courses for Credit:

Undergraduate courses (numbered 100-400) can be taken by students who have a high school diploma or equivalent (Please see catalog for more information) Graduate-level courses (numbered 500–600) may be taken individually for credit. To enroll, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree, and all prerequisites are required.

Registration Fee:

If you are not currently enrolled at the University, a one-time $75 registration fee applies. No fee is required for currently enrolled students.

Undergraduate Design Certificate

There are 4 design certificates you can choose from. There is a $75 Registration Fee to complete this application.

Upon completion of an undergraduate certificate program, students should be able to:


• Describe fundamental design and business principles, techniques, and tools essential
for addressing various design, art, and business challenges.


• Apply design software and technologies proficiently to create professional-quality work that could be used by themselves or other business professionals.

• Demonstrate essential aspects of the business, art, and design environments, including project management, client relations, production techniques, business operations, and ethical practices.


• Compile and present a comprehensive portfolio that effectively showcases their design and business skills and creativity.

Master of Arts in Design Business

To apply for the Master of Art in Design Business, you must have completed a Bachelor's degree. A transcript will be required at a later stage (not during the initial application process).

This master's degree offers two areas of emphasis: Digital Technology and Visual Arts.

Master of Fine Arts in Digital Design

To apply for the Master of Fine Arts in Digital Design, you must have completed a Bachelor's degree. A transcript will be required at a later stage (not during the initial application process).

While a PhD is the highest academic credential overall, the MFA is considered the terminal degree for studio-based disciplines and is widely recognized as the professional standard for artists and designers seeking advanced creative practice or teaching at the university level.


Upon completion of the Master of Fine Arts program, students should be able to:


• Apply advanced design principles and technology tools to create high-quality products across various media.

• Develop and implement innovative, user-centered design solutions by integrating color theory, usability standards, and digital accessibility, ensuring designs meet diverse
audience needs.


• Critically analyze art and design theories within creative projects, enhancing work with
insights into historical and cultural contexts that inform contemporary design.

• Create a cohesive, professional portfolio showcasing a range of design skills, creative
methodologies, and technical competencies suitable for multiple industry applications.

• Employ branding and storytelling techniques to build unique visual identities and narratives that communicate compelling messages across digital platforms and
products.


• Synthesize personal research and creative insights into a comprehensive capstone
project, reflecting artistic growth, professional readiness, and the integration of skills acquired throughout the program.
