paper engineering and interactive books
Overview
About This Course
Paper Engineering and Interactive Books explores the structures and mechanisms that make books move, fold, and surprise the reader. Students design and build pop-ups, pull tabs, and other movable elements, learning how paper mechanics, scoring, and folding translate a flat sheet into a three-dimensional interactive page. The course results in one or more interactive books that combine paper engineering with strong visual design.
Prerequisites: This is a general education course.
