Overview
About This Course
Book Binding introduces the craft of constructing books by hand, from folding and sewing signatures to building covers and finishing the spine. Students practice a range of binding methods, including saddle stitch, coptic, and case binding, and learn how structure, materials, and craftsmanship shape a finished book. Coursework builds toward a collection of bound books that demonstrate technical control across several binding styles.
Prerequisites: This is a general education course.
