ACC 101
ACCOUNTING FOR CREATIVES
Overview
About This Course
This course builds quantitative reasoning skills through the accounting and financial decisions creative professionals actually face. Students work with percentages, ratios, rates, and proportional reasoning to calculate costs, margin, break even points, and pricing. Coursework includes reading financial statements, interpreting data presented in tables and charts, and evaluating quantitative claims. Applied to freelance and small studio scenarios, these methods answer practical questions: what to charge, whether a project earned out, and what the numbers say about the year ahead. (3 semester credit hours)
Prerequisites: This is a general education course.
